We’re excited to announce that we’ve added an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to our team!
Marina has worked closely with Dr. Groom for over three years and been a part of the Hiddenbrook Dental team as a dental assistant while she worked toward her EFDA license. She’ll be working side by side with Dr Groom providing care to patients, such as placing fillings, adjusting crowns, and taking impressions for crowns and implants. Adding an EFDA provider to our practice will allow us to provide high quality care to more patients. Marina is also a certified phlebotomist and assists Dr Groom with surgeries by doing blood draws for PRF procedures.
Hi! I’m Marina. I grew up in Salem, Oregon, where I lived most of my life before moving to Vancouver after marrying my husband. I’ve been working in dentistry since 2020 and graduated from the EFDA program at South Puget Sound Community College in 2026, allowing me to expand my skills and provide an even higher level of care. I love being part of a profession that helps people feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their smiles. Outside of the office, I’m also a wedding photographer, which gives me a creative outlet and lets me capture some of life’s most meaningful moments. When I’m not caring for patients or photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me editing a gallery, camping with my husband, or unwinding on the couch with a good show.
